What is the LPN scope of practice regarding IV's, IV push's, CVL's, PICCs, Broviac's, etc. ? The GA BON is hard to get a hold of reagrding this question. Thanks.

I can't find anything definite either. I'm in SC though. Take a look at this site for some info on various states' problems with scope of practice. http://bhpr.hrsa.gov/healthworkforce/reports/nursing/lpn/c3.htm

In my past experience as an LPN, I could start IV's but could not push anything (lasix, pain med etc.). Did not have opportunities with piccs or central lines, don't think I would have touched them though.
