LPN, CNA - Ohio programs

Published

:uhoh3: As a non-traditional student - older - I am having trouble finding schools in Ohio that offer LPN and CNA. The only thing I can find is post-highschool programs. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Where are you located in Ohio. I live near Canton and am going through a part-time, 2 year LPN program in the evenings.

I am in Wooster. I have been looking for fulltime programs within about 1 hour of here, but would also consider part time. Thanks!

The program is through Canton City Schools. If you do an online search for Canton City Schools PN Program, you'll find the info you need. They offer a 1 year program, full time days during the week. 2 year program, 3 to 4 nights a week (5-9 p.m.). This program has an excellent reputation. Good luck! Wooster isn't too far from Canton.

I live in NW Ohio. I am currently an LPN student at Brown Mackie (aka Southern Ohio College). Its located in Findlay Ohio. Fourteen month course, one class per month, classes are offered every month. Good Luck

Please make sure these programs are accredited. I know someone that went through the full 2 years only to find out their piece of paper meant nothing and all their credits would not transfer to any other school. It was one of the schools mentioned in the previous post's in my city...just check it out before you enroll.

Hm. I thought that there was an LPN program in Smithville? There is also one in Mt. Vernon, which would be about an hour away. My mother went there many years ago. Does Mansfield have one? I am about 1 1/2 hrs from you. I go to EHOVE. I know that there are tons in Ohio, but you may need to travel a bit. Definitely check in Smithville, though, because I'm pretty sure that when I lived near Wooster, I checked into going to Smithville for LPN. Good luck! :)

The Canton City PN program is fully accredited. I believe they've been in operation for 40 years or so. Excellent program!

Have you found an LPN program close to you yet?

Good luck!
