Hi I was wondering does anyone from Illinois know any lpn To BSN programs in Chicago? I just got accepted into a lpn program that's gonna be 12 months but would like to do a bridge program afterward and want to start looking now. Any suggestions would be fine

im curious as well im in the same boat you are in.
And also of any LPN-ADN would be fine with me to
Jess4923 I looked into excelsior because i keep hearing about that school on allnurses. I called and basically its an online program generally 18-24months depending on how many credits you transfer in. At the end of the program you have to attend clinical for one weekend, but bc there are no clinical sites in Illinois you would have to travel to one of the states that offer the clinical. You will have to take the nclex in a different state and work there for two years before you can use your license in Illinois. If you hear about any other bridge programs let me know.
It's this one in desplains at oakton college they have a LPN-ASN

Its a couple of schools that offer Lpn to RN or BSN. Purdue University in Hammond offers an accelerated program where the pre reqs of 27 credit hours need to be done for advanced placement. Some off the top of my head are: Saint Xavier University,Ambria College in Hoffman Estates,Chicago State,Oakton Community College, and Morton College are other options.
Indiana State offers the Lpn to bsn online but pre reqs need to be taken already somewhere else. I think I'm going to check ISU out since clinicals can be done locally and all classes are online.

Chicago State still has the lpn to bsn? When I looked online it said it was discontinued...maybe their website isn't updated.
I remember a relative of mine did it some years back. Maybe she was the last class since it was updated recently. I was just giving her a some ideas of schools in Chicago though,we can scratch that off the list Lol.
