Hello fellow students,
Is there anyone here starting the LPN program in April of 2014? If so, for Atlantic Tech do you know the exact start date? Does anyone have their uniforms/books as of yet? What all do you ladies and gents have left to complete? Also, after you finish the program what are your future plans? Straight to work or maybe a transition program?
Yes, I did. I work at a LTC facility/gated retirement community in Gainesville and I am finishing up my pre-reqs, for the RN program, at Santa Fe. It took me almost 2 months to find a job because MOST of the places that I went to wanted at least 1 year experience. I found this place that I am at now, that was willing to take on a new grad. Also, when you're done with the LPN program, there will be a 30 hour IV therapy certification course that you can voluntarily take for around $118.00....my suggestion is TAKE IT!! You will be more marketable to be potential employer.
I didn't work. I moved back into my mom's house with my daughter. I would study as much as you can. I studied every day for a few hours. I took my book EVERYWHERE with me. HOWEVER, I did not study on Friday nights or Saturday nights. Those were MY nights for ME. I did study on Saturday mornings and on Sundays, as well as throughout the week.
If you know anyone that's in need of uniform tops and bottoms size medium. I have 3 of each for $5 a piece, email me at [email protected]
