I have three schools in mind that offer LPN, ADN, BSN. I won't be able to apply to any of these until next fall, so meanwhile I can get some pre-reqs out of the way until then. The only pre-req for the LPN and ADN I haven't done is A&P which I will start in the fall.
LPN pre-reqs:
CNA
Nutrition
Psychology
Dev. Psychology
Anatomy and Physiology
TEAS 59% +
Have all of those except a&p. Offers 10, 12, and 18 month long programs. Can actually earn C's in the pre-reqs. Crazy, right? Seems easy to get into from what I've read but not sure if it's a good program.
ADN pre-reqs:
English 1
TEAS 70% +
Goes off by point system. a&p = A (20 pts) B (15 pts) C (10 pts) for example. TEAS highest possible earned is 99 pts. TEAS raw reading highest earned 42 pts. Total earned = 190. Can only take the TEAS twice, ever.
LPN-ADN:
I think I would cross over to the community college third semester of nursing school, but I'm not sure. If so it would take one year.
ADN-BSN:
Can take one year (aside from pre-reqs) and can do this all online!
LPN - BSN:
I don't know how long this takes.
BSN:
GPA is not the best so I would have some catching up to do before starting nursing school at all. However it doesn't appear that repeating courses would hurt all that much. Minimum to pass the TEAS is a 50 something percent, but they don't look at the score. You just have to pass and can take however many times you want.
I'm not sure which way to go. Would I have a better chance of obtaining my BSN (end goal) if I get my LPN first? Will I feel more prepared getting either my ADN or BSN if I start with LPN school? Will I feel like I have more experience under my belt since LPN sounds like it's more hands on in a short amount of time? I'm not really concerned with being able to work right away, so that's not why I would get my LPN first. I feel like it would be a little easier to get into nursing that way. But would that take the longest?
I'm just afraid of being overwhelmed and flunking out first semester and I really want to do well. But I think my biggest concern, is time. I'd like to move out of state ASAP. So I wouldn't mind obtaining my BSN online at all. Right now I'm going to focus on getting as many pre-reqs done as possible.
Any thoughts or advice on which way to go?

I say to first see how your GPA is looking after you take all your required pre-reqs. If your are able to get it up by then, go the BSN route because your not stepping ladders but going straight into it.
If the BSN route is out of the question then you should apply to both LPN and ADN school (with all your pre-reqs done before hand), then wait on those acceptance letters to come in. Once their in, you will know your answer by then and which route to take from there.
But mainly just focus on your pre-nursing now because that seems to be the obstacle in your way, determining whether or not you get into nursing school.
