Hi everyone! I was just accepted to Loyola Chicago's ABSN program (hybrid cohort) for Spring 2020 and figured I would start a discussion as a place for classmates to start meeting (assuming we'll probably transition this to Facebook ha) Looking forward to January! ?
Hello everyone! Congrats to all that have been accepted. I have officially been accepted to Loyola ABSN at Maywood campus. Any others out there?
*My account also showed the admit checklist and my prerequisites before the acceptance letter came through (which was mentioned previously on this thread)*

Hi, I started looking around the Maywood campus in Oak Park and Forest Park. I’m from out-of-state and asked the advisor I’ve been in contact with some areas current students live in!
I’ve mainly been looking at studios, but I’m not opposed to looking for roommates if anyone is interested.

Girl same here I live in Georgia but have family in Chicago but looking to either get a place of my own or find some roommates. Are you planning to visit Chicago sometime soon to look at places ?

Hello,
I have also been accepted into the on-campus ABSN program. I am moving to Chicago from California. If anyone is interested in potentially rooming together please let me know! I have started looking at some places and will be visiting the area in October.

Hey @Gioramos25, I tried privately messaging you about rooming but I wasn't able to on here. My e-mail is [email protected]. Does anyone know if there is a facebook group for our cohort yet?
I haven’t seen a Facebook page either but add me on Facebook Gio Ramos and my email is [email protected] @[email protected]

Hi all! I was accepted to the hybrid program in downers grove. I've been looking at studios between DG and Oak Park area but am thinking it would be kind of fun to live with roomies since I'll be moving from Oregon and won't know anyone. I'm thinking I'll want to have a car, being out in the suburbs, to get to clinical sites and campus. Also trying to figure out the least snowy and dangerous route to drive cross-country in January if that's what I decide to do... Does anyone know how easily accessible public transit is within the burbs? I've never been to Illinois so I'm feeling a little clueless. Very excited to meet all of you!

Hi there! Public transit in the burbs is very limited aside from train lines that take you to/from downtown. Once you're downtown there are great options for buses/trains but if you're living in the suburbs, I would highly recommend having a car. Happy to answer any other Illinois questions - born and raised in the suburbs, have spent a ton of time on the south side, and now live out in farmland ?

Same thing happened to me! I actually got an email from the financial aid office first and then my online application flipped and then a day or so later, it was updated with the acceptance letter, so that might not show yet.
