Hi everyone,
I thought I would get a thread started for the Fall 2020 Hybrid Program. I just got my letter of admission into the program! I am quite excited and nervous because this will be my first time doing online classes for a whole program! If you got admitted to the ABSN Fall 2020 program, don't be afraid to hop on this thread and introduce yourself!
Hope to hear from y'all!

Then a couple days later it added a log in username for their website and then the next day they added my admissions letter into the application portal and then the next day I got an email saying to check my application. Haha so random and all happened on different days.
that took forever, but I just got accepted! have you decided if you're going or not?
Hey everyone, I made a Facebook group for the Fall 2020 ABSN cohort students! Whether you are doing the Maywood or the Downers Grove program, feel free to join! It is a closed group but I will add you in if you request!
The name of the group is: Loyola Fall 2020 ABSN Cohort
Let me know if you are unable to find it!
Hi everyone!
I was admitted to Fall 2020 Downer's Grove. I just got back from Chicago last week after touring the facility and city. This post is not to discourage anybody from attending; everyone out of state should definitely try and go out there to tour the area/facility. I am from California and was hesitant about the cross country move so here are my thoughts after the Chicago trip:
- The facility is not the entire building. They have rented out a suite/floor on a big building and it has all the labs and rooms you will need. Before the trip, I thought that the building was entirely Loyola's, but it is not.
- If anybody is from a sunny state like myself, the weather will be a big shock for you. To be blunt, the weather was complete garbage LOL. Super cold, snowy, windy, icy. Be prepared to drive in that weather when it comes to driving all around Chicago to reach clinicals.
- The labs looked really awesome! They have high fidelity mannequins that I found really cool. They sweat, bleed, urinate, etc to really make the lab/simulation experience feel very real.
- The tour takes about 20 minutes since it is not a huge facility. Overall, the facility was nice and had everything that you will need.

So after your tour, do you think you are still going to do the program? Did you only tour Downers Grove or did you see Maywood as well?
