our hosp has recently adopted a program of evaluations modeled after the Studer group. We have all been labeled by the supervisors and manager as low, medium or high performers. Has anyone heard of this in their hospital and how do you and your peers feel about it?

There is a pretty good thread on this topic. One nurse goes into great detail about management point of view and I thought her info was really great.

I would do a search for recent stuff on "Studer" and see what you get.

Our facility is going to this next year. Would love to learn more about it. I think it is a great idea. Some of these people need to move on. I am sick and tired of the constant complaining and laziness.

Hear hear!!!

I am sick to death of the constant whining and complaining! The forever victims of their profession! Worst part is, they don't even recognize themselves~

thanks Bipley for your post. The staff in my unit of the hosp are so upset by this management tactic. We feel so hurt, manipulated, etc. I don't know if the program from the Studer group was presented properly or not, but we are not feeling inspired to be higher performers. No one is saying this is a good and positive thing, only we must perform or else! I think it is very sad that the staff are not being built up, but torn down and divided into groups. We are reeling. Not inspired to improve at all...hope it gets better in time.
