Love letter from BON Ca

Published

Good day everyone! I just want to share my experience here. I'm a graduate of BSN with a masters in MS from Philippines. I applied to BON CA last year and got the "love letter". For almost 6 mos I was looking for a school all over CA and even end up in Arizona and Nevada but no school would offer individual classes for OB & MS. They said I gotta take the BSN program all over again and I was like "what"?! I told myself there's no way I'm going to re do BSN from scratch 😩. I'm a believer of a saying " If there's a will, there's a way". I'm not giving up!

So my ever supportive and loving husband and I drove all the way to Sac. And spoke to my analyst if I could take the classes in Ph & he said yes! I was in PH & away from my hubby for 6 mos to take those classes and not even sure if they'll accept my TOR after. So to make my story short, they accepted my TOR and yes God is indeed great! Beautiful things will happen when God says " It's time". I just took my exam yesterday and I'm so nervous right now cause I did the PVT and got the "on hold" results. I ran out of time and end up answering 220 or 240 questions ( I can't remember). I'm doing this to tell everyone not give up! Xx

On hold is not indicative of pass or fail. It means there was some sort of discrepancy or incident that mandates a full QC/QA audit of your test, keystrokes, video, check in, responses etc. holds take 48-72 hours on average and results are not released until the audit is complete.

Congrats on breaking through the concurrency barrier. You were fortunate to find a school overseas to permit you to finish what was needed and the BoN to agree. One step closer to your goal

Congrats on the ATT approval!

Hope you get the good results from the exam.

What year did you graduate with the BSN? MS?

Hi kabayan,

Thank you for posting such an encouraging message. I'm also a BSN graduate from the Phils.and I had the same experience with CA concurrency rules. I'm interested to know where in the Phils did you took up your OB and MS classes for 6 months. Was it both theory and clinical? I hope you could provide me a detailed info on how you applied for it. Again, thank you and congratulations.

Congratulations and so happy for you!

If you may, could you shed some light what's the difference of the first time and the second time you took MS?

Thank you in advance and God bless!
