I would imagine yes - if the number is dictated by the state, then you should be able to go to another state that is unlimited. Of course, you'd have to pay to apply to that BON for licensure as well, and then endorse back to LA if you want to work there.
Suzanne does say she has a 100% pass rate, so just do it by the letter and you should be fine. Let us know how you do. Good luck!
I'm in the same boat. I took NCLEX in July and failed. Now, I'm preparing for a second time. I live in Nevada, and they only allow you 3 tries. If I fail a third time, I can go next door to California and take it unlimited times. That would be a hassle, but doable. Once I passed there, I can apply for a license here in Nevada. Then I would have a license in both California and Nevada.
I'm also doing Suzanne's plan. She does have a 100% pass rate, but you have to adhere strickly to her guildlines and not mix it with other study books, because different rationales can be conflicting.
Hi Brandi,
I know that there is much pressure on you right now. Continue to do Suzanne's plan. The more you stress, the more you will freak out on the test. Understand every rationale, right or wrong. Try to figure out what they are asking you. Saunder's has a CD that is great. It pretty much goes into every content. Do as much questions as you can. I didn't use Suzanne's plan but I heard it is great. I used mostly Saunder's CD and passed. Think positive. You are not alone. You have our support here.
I have failed the nclex 3 times and live Louisiana where you can only take it 4 times within 4 years. My question is that IF I fail again can I go to an unlimited state such as texas and take it again??Please respond I am at a loss right now!!
Also I am now doing suzanes plan but extremely scared to reregister because it is my 4th and last time to take it here in LA. I need to pass and start working since I have 60,000 in debt from student loans!!
Just checking to see if you passed!
