I also work 40 hours a week and am married. No kids, but it is still a challenge. Difficult at times but doable. Best of luck to you. :)
Wow Jessica those are great grades!! I don't know how I would do it if I had to work 40 hrs. My kids keep me busy but they are also great about letting me study. My two yr old is the worst right now, pretty clingy. I am just starting back after a two year break. Before I watched four children a day and had my son with me also and managed to pull A's but that was with only two classes. I am so nervous!!

I have never taken less than 15 credit hours and usually take 16 or 17. I have maintained a 4.0. Don't worry, just work hard and you will be fine. Don't you have take at least 12 to be full-time?
Yes, 12 is full time. I am trying to get courses done that are a prereq. for the nursing program so it doesn't matter right now if I am full or part-time. I know part-time is easier on my wallet. :rotfl: Thanks for all the encouragement from everyone!! :) You guys are great on this board!

I have always said, do the best that you know you can give it. Whatever the result, you know that you did all in your power to earn it.
Remember you cannot judge a person solely on their GPA. I have met lots of them who had less than a 3.0 and a terrific nurses while others 4.0 are not.
Some people are book smart but lack efficiency in hands-on and even common sense.
Some are just both and God bless their brain everyday :)
Go for it, and use this site as a reference and support. Good luck to you.

I am still trying to figure that one out! :chuckle Trade? After a couple hours of the terrible 2's you would ship him back. :) My 11 yr old is like a little mother hen, and my 5 year old is just plain sweet! In fact he starts kindergarten next week

I was just curious of those who have taken 10 or more credit hours was it hard to keep good grades? I am considering taking Intro Chemistry, Eng I, and Political Science or a Required Computer course. It would be a total of at least 10 credit hours. I really need to maintain an "A" to have any chance of getting into our nursing program in May. So far I have maintained an "A" but that was only taking 2 classes at a time. I have 3 kids but I also feel like I should increase my load so that if I do make it into the nursing program it won't be a shock with all the classes I will have to take. The downfall is if I can't keep an "A" then I probably won't make the program.
Thanks,
Beth
