Upon graduation my school told us that when we sent in our application we would get both letters the continental teating letter and the authorization to test letter then we would need to schedule our test and pay our fee on-line. this was not so i had the continental testing letter sent to my dads house as with all my paperwork as to not have to the license lost between address changes as i planned to move back to that area after graduation to start my new job. after twoo weeks of having the first letter i started asking questions of fellow nurse grads at work who were already taking the exam. Come to find out i had to go online and pay the fee in order to get the ATT letter. since that was told to me i called some of the other classmates to let them in all had the same impression. Of the 8 of us only three are still waiting for the last letter. I cant start my new job until i have both letters which is policy of my organization. I have spoke up and down the line of both the state and the continental testing people and have found i am lost in the paper work each blaming the other for not suppling the appropriate paper work to one another . has any one else had this kind of frustrating experience.

Oh gosh. That all sounds confusing and super frustrating. My school was pretty good when it came to directing the students and telling us what we needed to do to and when we needed to do it by. But I know from other experiences how irritating miscommunication can be (especially when you're the one who has to take the blow). From your post, it seemed that your hospital doesn't require new grads to pass the NCLEX before starting work (amen to that). Just focus on getting that last letter... and maybe sneering at the person who gave you the wrong info when he/she walks by. Just kiddding.. maybe.
