I'm in the state of feeling lost and I just waned to let it out:

I graduated in June from an LPN program and I completely went haywire. Long story short, My mind just got lazy and i stopped studying. My boards is scheduled for Sept and I'm so nervous, Does anyone have any tips to get back on track?? Thanks for your time. :banghead:

Get the latest Kaplan review book. It comes with a CD ROM with a question bank. Also Saunders is good too. Ask your friends to burn you a copy if they already have them. Worked for me as a new RN. :nurse:

you gotta make a plan. what you need to review. because you simply cannot re-read everything. besides, if you know it, you KNOW it.

Well, I took time off after I graduated from Nursing School to focus on my studying and be READY to take the NCLEX. I wasn't in any rush to test. I used a book as a guide. (I forget which one)

I graduated in May 1998 with my ADN, and sat for my boards in Oct 1998. I felt ready to test, and I passed the first time. Many students can't wait to take the NCLEX and schedule the first available appointment, but I wanted to do it in MY time. It turned out great for me.

Best wishes for you!

:yeah:

My dream is dead in the midway of my life to be a nurse

I guess my advice would be to just study a little bit each day. I personally didn't study a few days before the test - I wanted to clear my mind in order to relax before the boards. What truly got me thru the test was a lot of prayer - just turned it over to God and said if this is meant to be, it will be - I passed the first time.

Thank you everyone for their encouragement. I just needed a "waking slap" to the face. Couldn't sleep last night, but will start thinking positive thoughts. =D
