I am about to start taking classes to get into a Masters' in Nusing program, I not sure which direction I want to go in with my masters'; any advice, experinces, or suggestions about which field in good? I am very thankful for your help.

If you are not sure which direction to go, for what reason are you pursuing your master's at this time?

As with anything, different specialties work for different people. No one can tell you what is "good" - that is for you to know for yourself. What do you most enjoy? Maybe you could shadow some practitioners or try some areas as an RN to see what you like.

I would also advise researching the market in your area before you invest in an advanced degree.

Specializes in CTICU.

I agree - what are you trying to achieve by doing your master's at the moment? Would you like to be a nurse practitioner? Educator? Clinical Nurse Specialist?

Specializes in Nursing Professional Development.

I strongly agree with the previous posters. Don't spend your time and money on an educational program if you have no idea what career path you would like to pursue. Decide what type of work you would like to do, then choose an educational program that will help you do that type of work.

Specializes in ER; CCT.

Start by working backwards. What do you want to do once you have a masters? Which discipline is it related too? Nursing, Medicine, Public Health? If nursing, then do you wish to do research (go for Ph.D or DNSc), education (MSN-education track, eventually Ph.D.) or do you want to be a nurse clinician? If so, which area (NP-CNM-CRNA).

Lots of internal questions to ask yourself. Graduate education is very objective focused--not too many gen ed classes.
