Los Medanos for Fall 2011?

Hello all, is anybody applying to Los Medanos CC for fall 2011. I just sent in my application with my fingers crossed:up:

Yaaaay for you!! i know the competition was tight, given the number of people who applied, but are there others on AN who were accepted? I really hope I get a packet as an alternate, so I can at least get things squared away just in case a spot opens up. :yeah:

Great! I was able to move my dates up for our Disneyworld vacation but of course I had to add money for the airfare:eek: So I am happy about that. I have not taken the TEAS yet, I will be taking it on June 22 @ LMC. I am going to go up to my school tomorrow and pick up the study guide from the bookstore. I only have 2 weeks to study! I am glad school is out:uhoh3:

You will do fine on the TEAS. It is much easier than you think. The study guide actually OVER prepares you. Hope you have a GREAT time on your vacation! Glad you were able to change it. Are you going to make it to the Meet/Greet on July 23?

Yes I will be at the meet and greet. We leave for Orlando on July 27:D

I have also received a conditional acceptance letter from LMC for Fall 2011. I am scheduled to take the TEAS on the 22nd. Would they send me a conditional acceptance letter if I am only on the waitlist?

If your letter stated you received "Conditional Acceptance" you are IN! Your letter would have stated you were on the waitlist. They do have people on the alternate list take the TEAS in case some of those chosen decline their spots or fail the TEAS, then they are ready to go. Congratulations! Hope to see you August 12th. Once you pass your TEAS, you will get a packet that tells you about the Meet and Greet on July 23rd. Hope to see you there!

Thanks DReiner! I'm so glad to meet my new classmates on here. Did you take the TEAS 4 at LMC? How was it? Do you get your results right after you complete the exam? I am so worried about it. I hope I pass so I can make it to the Meet and Greet. I purchased the online practice from the ATI website and I am hoping it's similar to the real exam.

I took the TEAS IV at LMC and found it really not that hard. The study guide they have is great. I posted a message to another one of our "classmates" and told her I felt the TEAS study guide actually over prepared me. The practice exam is vert helpful.I recall percent questions, lots of conversions from decimals to fractions and vice versa,punctuation, grammar, reading comprehension, basic anatomy, some basic biology, micro and, a few chemistry. But, just follow the study guide. You will do fine. They give you your results immediately as well as a printout. If you pass and Cindy, the nursing secretary is in, you go upstairs and give her your results and you can tell her on the spot you accept your position. You will do well. Good luck. Cool. I can't wait to meet you. Did you purchase the study manual for the TEAS exam at the school. My letter said it's on reserve at the library. Does that mean I can't check it out? We have about a week until our exam day, and I feel like I need more time to study. How are you feeling about it.
