Does anyone know if they are still placing your name twice if it is your second or third time applying? I went in on May 27 to see if my student number was there and to also see how many are going to be in the pool. I couldn't believe that there were a little over 700 (couldn't remember exact #) qualified applicants in the pool. I am so nervous, anxious and scared at the same time. Just like everyone else, I am so wanting to get picked and hoping for the best! Does anyone know of anyone that got picked on their first try?

I got in on my first try. I think maybe 1/4 to 1/3 of our class got in their first try! A lot of those names are duplicates, since this is the last year they will put in names up to 4 times. Good luck to you! I have a dear friend who is on her 4th try and I'm just hoping and praying she gets in. Can't wait to hear all your results :)

Are you going to be at the Meet & Greet on July 23rd? I already received my packet which had the flyer. Looking forward to hearing all the "stories" from the first year students.

The waiting is killing me... I talked to my friend that is in the nursing program at LMC and she heard that because of the budget cuts that they are accepting about 35 candidates. Aaaaaaaaah! :uhoh3: I thought it was around 60??? Does anyone else have any info. regarding this??

yes I heard that there would be a cut in enrollment. I know at Contra Costa, they cut enrollment in their nursing program for Fall 2011. So I am sure LMC will do the same.

Due to budget cuts, the new class will only be 30 (that's what I heard but it could be 35), instead of the usual 44. The second year is only 40 instead of 55. Think positive thoughts! I got in my first try and would have even if they only had picked 30 I can't wait to hear the results, I hope you all get good news :)

Sorry for the late response! I haven't been checking AN because it just makes me anxious. lol...I was accepted to San Joaquin Delta College, where I will be going if I don't get into LMC. Congrats of your Merritt acceptance!!

Is the school only posting the results on campus? Or will they send us letters too? I live south of LMC and cannot drive up there.
