Los Angeles Valley College Winter/ Spring 2019

Hello, My name is Emmely. I just applied to the LAVC nursing program and I wanted to start a topic so that we can keep eachother updated on status.

I just called LAVC again, and I'm super disappointed in how they have chose to organize this entire thing. I left the conversation even more confused then when I started. I asked the person who answered the phone why some of us have received emails and some have not and she said that those who have received emails may have had a lower number during placement of random selection..so I proceeded to ask her how it is that they are placed in a selection already if some of us haven't even been asked to send in our TEAS scores yet???? Then she said "oh because we aren't asking for scores yet if your number was high during random selection"...so I asked okay so would you recommend I send in my TEAS score would that help them get the ball rolling and she straight up said "no don't waste money if we haven't asked for your score"...BUT HOW THE HECK ARE PEOPLE ON A SELECTION LIST AND NUMBERED ALREADY IF NOT EVERYBODY HAS SENT IN TEAS SCORES YET IM SO CONFUSED!!

Also, she said people are still taking TEAS test today that are applying to LAVC...so are they just all screwed too in this "random selection"

I too have not heard a thing. Praying for us.

Finally received letter that I did not make the lottery this time :(
