Has anyone applied ? I'm taking the teas exam this friday i am so nervous !
today i got an invitation to take it at pierce.
cjprnurse lets just keep happy positive thoughts:) I have only heard from one school COC "reject" and I still have 4 other schools including Pierce to hear from. 3 of those are supposed to be notifying this month and the last one is not till end of June beginning of July so yes I totally understand how your feeling, every time I get an email its like my heart sinks:( I don't think anyone knows all the stress of going into nursing into you get into because I for sure never thought it would be like this, silly me, I thought I would take my classes get good grades take the teas pass it and get into a nursing school...boy was I mistaken..everything has been smooth until now GETTING INTO A PROGRAM!!! So much stress and I am trying not to be negative and remain positive but it is just so hard when people are getting notified and nothing for you:(
jsk90 I read somewhere that Karla the lady handling the nursing applications sends the emails out one by one to decrease error but I don't know for sure. Not to be negative but I would assume all the emails would be sent on the same day that way it gives everyone an equal amount of time to accept because there is a deadline to accept their acceptance. I am still leaving hope that some may not accept and more spots will open up. I honestly think the way they notify is what works for them because if they notify the ones selected and they give you a specific time frame to respond and those that don't or reject there spot more spaces open up and they can go down their list and notify the others that now have a spot instead of sending out rejections and then later giving them a spot. Honestly I don't really care how/why they do there notifying I just want to be in a nursing program this fall:)

Same here! I don't care where I go as long as I'm accepted! Although it would be nice if it was Pierce or COC (I was an alternate at COC but doubt it I was #18 on the list)
I wanna go to pierce cuz I know somebody there already and would put me at ease on how to get prepared.
I really don't understand the pierce lottery though. when I applied the first time I was #93 on the list...I didn't bother replying the email or checking to understand how they choose in lottery....I always thought they just put all the iffy ones in a bucket and just pick like a raffle xD
I have to go to work...thank goodness it's my last week.
These tears better be worth it.
cjprnurse yes I am not sure how the lottery works I know it is computer generated but that is about it....try not to beat yourself up about it, it is really out our hands. Have a good day at work:) I am currently at work which I hate being at work these days because I am required to have my email up and off course I can't help but be on alert the whole damn day!!!
dha_18, I believe you are notified via email. I have only one friend who applied here and she too hasn't received anything, there were a few people on here that have got acceptance letters so I do believe they were sent out yesterday:(
But don't worry not everyone accepts/responds which means spots open up:)I am trying to be realistic yet positive:)
just trying to bring this thread up...
I find out if I'm in accepted in La County on the 15TH monday
I also find out if I'm accepted in Glendale CC on Friday May 19th
I find out if I'm accepted in Pasadena in beginning of June
If I am accepted in Pierce...I will immediately let the other nursing programs know I won't go with them in case any one applied to those other schools

I hope they do...
The wait has been giving me so much anxiety I can't sleep. I got a rejection letter from a norcal university. I knew my grades were from a long shot with them anyway and did'nt want to move.
I have 3 local I'm waiting for and one of them is pierce. :/
So I heard from 2 schools, 3 more to go.
