Los Angeles Pierce College (LAPC) - ADN Fall 2024

Hi Everyone!

I was accepted to LA Pierce College on April 19, 2024. I am unsure if a group has been formed, but wanted to know if others were accepted. 😊 Super excited!

Just received an email with more info. Orientations will be on June 21st and July 5th all day.. Can we do dental woth pierce also? I have medical, but I'm not sure if they take it...

I called the health office at pierce today. They can do all of the vaccinations and the physical is free.  But, they won't be able to book an appointment until June 1.  She assured me that everything can be done before June 21.  You have to pay the Summer health fee on June 1 at the business office. It's $16.

Including the flu and dental?

That sucks. I'm sorry. I hope you have, or will apply to many schools. And don't give up, as the website states most people are accepted within one year of applying. So keep applying

Can anyone open the link for the uniform and med surg kit - pocket nurse?  Also, are we supposed to purchase our own white uniform tops and have the logo patch sewn on?   It's so confusing.  For the orientation, are we supposed to wear the uniforms?

I could not open it, either. I still have  no clue what the dress code is, only that there is a school patch you can purchase at that location in Panorama City (I think Panorama).

I just emailed the professor indicating that the link isn't opening. I also asked her where we are supposed to order the uniform and if we are expected to where it to orientation.

The uniform is an all white professional top suggested to have square front pockets . The uniform pant is red and "is to be obtained from the designated vendor in the correct style and color" 

side note - has everyone started the vaccine/titers process?

I guess we are going to find out at orientation because we don't have school emblem patches yet?

I am getting a physical/vaccine/titers updated next week! Figured I'd do it as soon as possible. Along with CPR training but only because my work is paying for me to have it done, thankfully.

I would highly recommend someone creates a facebook group and posts the link on this page for your cohort to keep in touch and guide each other through the orientation process. I am finishing up 1st semester here at LAPC and I have a couple of good friends hoping to get into this ADN program for Fall 2024. I have been coaching them haha
