Los Angeles Pierce College (LAPC) - ADN Fall 2024

Hi Everyone!

I was accepted to LA Pierce College on April 19, 2024. I am unsure if a group has been formed, but wanted to know if others were accepted. 😊 Super excited!

Thank you. I still can't believe it! I just got an email from them today. Seems like if I attend the orientation, I will be guaranteed a sport for the next semester.

I think they're actually decent. I know many people who started as alternates and ended up getting in that semester.

Other nursing programs around LA still haven't sent out acceptances. I believe they don't plan to till the end of May and the beginning of June. Some students that have accepted may drop Pierce to go to another school so I think your chances are pretty solid! 😊

Good. I don't know how many people are on the standbylist though....

Okay so I just found out that orientation is in August for 3 full days (8 hours).  For the first month, the lecture classes are Mon and Wed. Skills/Clinicals are Thur and Fri. Tuesdays are off.  

I was told June 21 and July 5? Different days for everyone?

I haven't been given any dates but that's what my friend who is a nurse at west hills said.

Me neither. I called them again, but this guy on the phone doesn't know anything...I was told to wait for another email with more info..

The guy also is so monotone and genuinely sounds so annoyed with any question I ask. 😓

I'm sure he was. I haven't bothered calling because I'm sure the reason they haven't sent the info out is because they don't have it yet. 
 

I've learned throughout this process that it's best to just be patient. We have months before the semester begins. The important thing is the admissions and this has been decided! Glendale and COC haven't even started with acceptances. Glendale actually postponed their process by more than three weeks!
