I didn't see a Spring 2017 thread for LA Pierce College. Have any of you applied?

Congratulations to all that got accepted. And fit those that have not yet, stay strong is only a matter of time. I am still waiting on Pierce to send the acceptance or denials for LVNs. I hear that only a very small number get in. í ½í¸ Praying I get accepted í ½í¹ƒ

for anyone who was accepted to the la pierce spring 2017 i was wondering if you knew anything about the letter we just received via email? specifically what our reading assignments are, what the signature page is due day of orientation, any info on drug test, background check, malpractice insurance info, NSNA membership, and where they want us to purchase the med-surg kit? thank you:)

hey jasminecolg! congrats on getting into the program first lol. second, i just got my blood drawn and urine taken for the labs. will be doing to TB and physical soon as well. I think the background check, malpractice, nsna are all online and we would have to bring proof of it to orientation. and also, I'm not sure on the med-surf kits or the how to obtain the readings yet

hey! thank you and congrats to you as well! I just got all that fun stuff done too and have a physical from 4 months ago Karla told me to use and see if they will accept.

Yeah, I would think all of that would be done online. I just found it really strange she didn't give us information on it... like what website's to use. I was a alternate at COC and attended their orientation and for all those qualifications they were very specific with where they wanted it from and gave direct guidelines. Are you just going to wait for more info on it to complete?

I also had my physical around August but I'm doing it again at Pierce cause its free and just to be safe For now, i gonna do all the online stuff and get the scrubs.

i feel you with COC, i was also an alternate and their orientation was very specific with what and when they want it.

haha that's funny hmm now you got me thinking I should too lol there closed for so long for the holidays though:/ And yes better safe to do the online stuff now but as far as the background check I'm pretty sure we need some sort of pierce id code so it gets sent to them and a order form for a drug test so I don't know how that can get done without further info

and scrubs whattt? you just getting any basic ones she didn't say anything about that

I also have some stuff for first semester for sale. I'm selling the pharmacology textbook. They have switched over to Lipincott ebooks for the first semester, but I found it extremely helpful to have the actual textbooks as well. Wishing you all the best of luck! They require you to buy the Pierce scrubs, you order them, they are white and red. They come with the school's logo. You can't buy whatever scrubs you want

Karla had an email with where to get scrubs so I'm gonna check that out. Also, anyone know how to order the medsurg kits? I know she sent an email with a pdf attachment and company but all it was, was an order form. do we fill that out and send it out? or is there a way we can order online?

You order it online and they are delievered to your house
