Hello, I turned in my application back in February and waiting for news. I'm creating this topic for anyone that has applied to LAPC for this upcoming Fall 19. Let's share stats, tips, news and any other useful information for our fellow applicants.

They said I was #1. I'm also asking around because I want to know how many people are being invited as a "standby". I have friends waiting on results from Pierce as well and I want to be able to understand what's up with the system. I hope everything works out for everyone.

But hey, I hope you and I can get in this semester! We have a pretty good chance, considering what they've said in the emails and what people have posted about on the topic in previous forums I've looked through. I just don't like the fact that we have to wait for too long.

You are in a terrific position! I really love to get begin in the Fall but either way I am grateful. Speculating on the process for selection is absolutely maddening; I thought the folks that were accepted had to decline or accept over a month ago- so then why would they expect people not to show up at orientation? I suppose in a few more weeks all of the guessing and our questions will be answered.

Btw, do you know of any others that are on ‘standby ‘?

No, actually I don't. I only know you, but I do know a friend of mine who got accepted into the program earlier on for Fall 2019 for Pierce. I'm just hoping another good friend of mine gets in, so I've been asking around about who's on the waitlist because I have no idea how many people have been invited to serve as a 'standby.' Also, I agree, I'm also really grateful that we've been chosen.
