Los Angeles County Sheriff RN?

Has anyone ever applied to RN positions within the sheriff's dept? I know that dealing with inmates can be dangerous work, but the pay and benefits look pretty good.

Any recommended to prepare for written examination? I'm nervous don't know what to prepare, it the exam in essay or multiple choice format? any tips please help.... thanks

I didnt know that there was a written exam/essay, what exactly is it that you are referring to?

exam is pretty easy. simple drug computations.

whoaah..have been busy this past few weeks..

PRN22: the written examination is just basic, mostly computations. good luck

lenaRN22: im scheduled march 22..how was your interview?i heard they are conducting a panel interview :doh:i hope it went well. :)

ksRNbsn: it took me almost 3 months to hear from them.

My interview went awesome...I got back the letter for the results and I passed the interview and have been placed in Band 1, I guess now its just a waiting game....How bout you? how did it go?

Hi everyone!

I took the written test on 4/20/11, and we were told that we would get our results at the end of July! It seems like it's a very long process right now, due to a huge number of applicants :-/
