Los Angeles County School of Nursing Fall 2017

Hey, is there anyone who applied for Fall 2017 admission to LA County? Have you guys heard any news? has anyone called you? What are your thoughts?

Now they are using every excuse in the book to reject people. One of my transcripts arrived 1 day late and even though they had said it was going to be okay at the beginning, now they are saying I am on a "waiting" list because of that. I need to wait and see if other applicants with the same amount of points do not accept their place in the program for them to consider my INCOMPLETE application. How frustrating! So now my question is, where do you guys think I can retake Anatomy? I need to make my application stronger for next time and I think it'll be beneficial for me to retake Anatomy and get an A this time. I'll try at Rio and ELAC, but I already know for sure how hard it's going to be to make it into the class. Any other ideas?

You can try PCC. Their summer session is from June 26-Aug 18 so you can potentially meet LAC's Spring application deadline. But it's pretty tough to crash Anatomy courses at PCC. PM me for suggestions on which professor to take if you decide to go this route!

THANK YOU SO MUCH! Here goes to show how much I know about retaking classes. I didn't know I cannot retake a class at the same school where I took it the first time because I got a passing grade. So now I am down to ELAC and thanks to your suggestion, PCC. I don't want to stress about this for now. I have to go through surgery next week so I've decided to take it easy. I will apply for both programs as soon as the applications are being accepted for the Fall of 2018. Meanwhile, I will be concentrating on studying for my NCLEX-PN, on getting my health back, and on working as an LVN. Everything happens for a reason! I truly believe that. Thanks for the help, I am sending you a PM right now so you can tell me what Professor to look for in the Fall semester. I really appreciate your help :)

To those accepted, the person I spoke with told me that when I get my email of acceptance tmrw, I need to follow the directions carefully, she made seem like it was really hard. What did you guys have to do?

That's what I was thinking. Now we have to wait for people with lower points than us to decline in order for them to consider us. That is why I'm giving up until next time. We'll have better luck then, you'll see :)

Congratulations on getting accepted!! I don't know what e-mail she is going to send you but the first email I received from them was about the meeting and also another one on LiveScan application. None of them were confusing to me but do your LiveScan application soon and she will instruct you to call her so you can make an appointment!! :))) yaaay!

The only email I got today was about pre reg on the 30th and to call or email her about my decision! Nothing about a live scan yet.

Call again and she still refuses to tell me my results.

She receuved all my transcriots in time thi.
