Hello! I decided to open up this new thread for those applying for Spring 2014 entry at LA County College of Nursing. I recently took my TEAS for the first time, and I'm so relieved that it is over! Now the wait... A bit nervous about the whole process, but I am very hopeful. Anyway, just wondering who else out there has applied!

Hello. I applied to county! I got a phone call today saying I needed to send in my first score of the Teas because I sent in my second score since I didn't pass the first time. This means I do not get any points for the first attempt which puts me points already really low. I think I have 70 points which I doubt is even close to enough. I am really scared. I applied to 3 other schools though. I am hoping for the best, but not getting my hopes up for County since my points are so low.:/

Hi @rachelmacy! Thanks for chiming in! Don't lose hope in any of the schools that you have applied to - including County! But it's great the you applied to a number of schools - it will increase the odds of getting in since many of these programs in SoCal are lottery based. Anyway, good luck to all of us! :yes:

Hello @rachelmacy. I also applied to PCC & MC, but I didn't think to apply to Pierce. For some reason, I was under the impression that they only accepted applicants for Fall entry. Though I didn't do much "homework" in regards to the requirements, as I applied for Spring 2014 entry on a whim. I had initially planned to apply for Fall 2014 and changed my mind at the very last minute. Anyway, best of luck to you (and all of us applying)! :)

Don't lose hope! if not County, you will get in somewhere else. Keep your head up! cheer up! :)

Hi everyone!

I applied to LA County also since I work for the county. I passed my TEAS V the first attempt so that's done already. Now the waiting is killing me! I find myself constantly checking my emails and mailbox...arrtgghh!

I also applied to PCC, LACC, and LA Trade Tech. Well, LA Trade Tech said that Spring 2014 is closed..but we'll see. Maybe somebody will give their spots :sneaky: I have a counseling appt/transcript eval at PCC next week. I'm waiting for PCC though. Ugh! scary but I gotta think positive and have faith. So everybody, let's keep our faith high and be positive!

Just a quick update. I was told by a staff member at County that notifications (for acceptance or rejection) will be sent out via mail around mid-November. So I guess we can all cross our fingers til then. :woot:

Hello, guys. I applied to LA County and PCC. I passed my TEAS V...It was 85%...It's a good thing that I can get 20 points. Good luck to all^^
