Hello. I just hope someone could help me out with the lodging of my papers at Perth , Australia or Sydney Australia...Im a BSN graduate here in the Philippines but due to some reasons my aunt from Sydney cannot provide the help that im needing and my friend from Perth whom ive sent my documents for initial registration and who promise to help me out just got sick wherein he needs to undergo surgery, which leaves me so helpless. Im so eager to work and fulfill my career in Australia thats why im asking for a little assistance. I would appreciate if anyone would come to my plea. Looking forward to hearing from anyone here. Thank you so much and God bless...

hi wenndy.. mabuhay.. like u i am a BSN RN US and philippines and now NSW(sydney Australia.. I read ur inquiry and so i joined this forum..

well.. i dont know if this will help u.. but i hope it will..

I am a RN philippines and US.. I wanted to wrok in sydney too so i applied for a registration.. its very easy.. just go to its website.. Nurses and midwives board.. New south wales (sydney) and just download the form.. and send the requirements they need..

U just need to pay for the registration fee which i believe is 180 australian dollars. u can pay internet with the use of your credit card.. then just send ur documents (u dont need to send the originals.. just the notarized ones are OK..

I did everything by myself.. no help from anyone in Australia.. so I think u can do that too.. all u need r the necessary documents. after u get registered.. u can now look for a job in sydney.. then go from there..

info about me.. which could help u out.. Iam a BSN graduate (manila) and a Board passer too.. after the boards in manila I went to US and took the NCLEX and became a RN.. work there for 2 years as a RN.. then decided to work in other countries like australia since I have been there when i was a child and wanted to experience working in Sydney.. now.. I am a registered nurse in Australia(sydney) and waiting for my work visa...

by the way.. the nurses board (sydney will require u to take the IELTS.. they are very strict with it.They asked me for my IELts even though I came from US.. they said.. its bec I was educated in Philippines.. luckily I already took that test and so I was able to provide my scores with them right away.. the whole processing of my license took 6 weeks.. =)

hope this helps..

goodluck. just let me know if theres anything else i can help u with..

Hi

Am a registered nurse from kenya. I sent my application to the Queensland nursing Council after downloading the necessary forms from the website. Within three weeks they had sent me a letter to say that they've recieved my application and to wait for them to communicate. That was about 5 weeks ago and am still waiting. I've heard that they take long but am hopeful that I won't have to wait for too long. I think the most important think is to send everything that is required at once to avoid delays. there's a checklist for overseas trained nurses on their website. You can have a look.

Specializes in ICU.

Unfortunately it seems the Queensland Nursing Council is backlogged with registration at the moment and it may take some months to process.
