Looking for Micro and Anatomy classes in SD

Published

Does anyone know of any classes in San Diego area or online for Microbiology and/or Anatomy.

I've taken classes at SDCC at both City and Mesa, but now the classes are full when I go to register. I've also applied for Southwestern and Grossmont.....however there classes are already full for next semester as well......

I just need these two classes to apply for the nursing program at SDCC.

Any suggestions for online classes or other schools where I can finish my prereqs????

Thanks,

Suzanne

One of the best online microbiology courses is at Ocean County College. The instructor is an award winning online course designer and a former Assistant Commissioner of Health for New Jersey. The course is taught totally online including the lab and has a real medical microbiology flavor to it which is great for nursing.

You are taking it at a community college so the cost is not prohibitive even if you are out of state. I have signed up for it so I hope to see you online in January.

do you know if the exams are online?

Jersey Girl,

Thanks for the info. I went to the OCC website and looked for Micro classes online for the Spring 2009 Semester and couldn't find any. You said you found a Micro class and registered for it?

Thanks,

Suzanne

National University (NU) in San Diego offers Microbiology+lab which must be taken concurrently. The upside to going with National is there is NO chemistry prerequisite like you have for Micro at the community colleges. The total cost is around $1400 for the 2month class, but it is well worth it because they are fully WASC accredited and therefore transfer to any university, state or private. The lab is 1.5 credits and meets 1 once per week for 2 months. The lecture is also once per week for about 4 hours. NU has both day time classes and nights. Anyway, thats where I took all my prereq's and it was very fast and pretty easy.
