Hey everyone. I have been a LPN for about a year now... working at a long term care facility currently. I have been a CNA for 2 years and a nurse for 1 year. I take my RN boards again and after I pass them I want to find a new job. I really am not interested in hospital nursing or what I am doing right now.... because it seems these types of places are understaffed and very fast paced and I just want a job I can work decent hours. Right now I work a lot of 3-11 shifts and a lot of weekends and holidays and do not see my husband at all... Any suggestions of what types of jobs I qualify for only have one year experience as a LPN and being a new grad RN?

Maybe look into doctor offices/clinics. Hours are usually Monday thru Friday and some of them welcome new grads. I'm going in for an interview at a family/internal medicine clinic in the next week. I'm a new grad RN and haven't had much luck yet but I'll be starting up with flu shot clinics next month which is a start. I'm excited I finally heard back after applying at so many places! :)

Try doctors office/clinics and also home health or private duty nursing. I know PSA employs nurses with atleast a years worth of experience. With them you can set your own hours. Try Dialysis centers agency companies, outpatient surgery centers, prisons, school nursing, urgent care centers etc..
