Hello! to all nurses,

I am a registered nurse in the Philippines and now I pass my NCLEX-RN and IELTS exam, I have a 6mos working experience in OR in a tertiary hospital, now I'm looking for a good agency deploying for USA preferably in Houston TX.Can you recommend a reliable agency for me.Since I apply my NCLEX in the board of nursing of New York State can I use my license to practice my profession in Houston TX?

Your license in NY is only valid for working in NY, you will need to go thru the Licensure by Endorsement process to be able to work in Texas. And please be aware that Texas requires the CES, and they do not accept the CVS that you had completed for NY.

Moving this thread to the International forum as you will need to be petitioned for the green card before you will be able to work in the US, and please be aware that you are going to find it much more difficult right now to find a hospital that will directly hire you as we are under a retrogression right now, and you are looking at about five years for a chance at a visa for the US.

Anything requiring immigration for, or questions dealing with working in the US as a foreign RN, we ask that the questions be posted on this forum and not any of the others.
