Looking to get my LPN. Where to go? Price?

Published

I live in macomb county, Mi And want to get into a LPN Program. Really Want something 10months.

Can you name the school, state and price (est.) ?

If I do Ohio, want to car pool.

My job does reimbursement. :)

I want to know if the EMT to RN program is better.

That was such a broad question! First of- EMT vs LPN or RN is 2 different things. First you need to decide what it is exactly you want to do. Do you want to be a nurse or do you want to be and EMT? Are you considering private school? (which is expensive and usually shorter programs)or do you think of going community college route (usually takes a LONG time hence taking all the prerequisites and waiting to get into the program which depends on your GPA).

Not to come off rude, but you may do better taking your questions to Google and seeing what schools and info come up. Also you would be doing more of the work for yourself. Most of us on here have navigated through numbers college websites to find out the price of the school etc. Its not hard!

Post this in the Michigan forum. I am from Detroit, MI and am at Davenport for the LPN program. It is 3 semesters.

You can check the nursing accrediting body websites (NLNAC,CCNE) and michigan.gov Board of Nursing. I know people that drive to Ohio (Athena) and 2 graduates from Everest (Southfield).

Sounds like you need to do a little research though. Depending on the school, there are entrance exams (HESI/TEAS-V), pre-reqs. and other things that you more than likely will need before you are accepted.
