I live in Sunny Isles east of North Miami, and I just got accepted by Keiser, the school is expense but you can start in Feb and be done by the end of the year.. that's why I've choose to start that because Miami Dade's LPN program already started in August. I figured I pay the extra $$ now but at least I'll be working in a year and not have to wait for another LPN program or RN program.. plus they offer an LPN-RN bridge program. Good Luck.
I was going to suggest Miami-Dade. There is Lindsey Hopkins but the area is not that great. Seeing that you live in North Miami, you can check out Sheridan Vocational Tech school in Hollywood,Fl. They have a very good program and I think that the next class begins Jan 20, first come, first serve. You would just have to take the Tabe and the TEAS.
It is on Sheridan St so that would be Ives Dairy- last exit in Dade county, Hallandale, Pembroke, HOllywood Blvd and then Sheridan- should be under 30mins drive. Good luck.
I understand the willingness to go with Keiser based on 'NOW' but for the price it costs, it is worth checking out the local vo tech schools first.
I got accepted to the keiser lpn program. I start in September and from what i have been told its an excellent school. It is rather expensive, but you do finish a lot quicker. I finish next September, so i believe the money is well worth it. Hope this helps somewhat in your search ( : goodluck!

Hey there - does anyone out there have an opinion on the best school to attend here in Miami to become an lpn? I have just moved here and I am anxious to start school but would love some advise on schools in the area. I live in North Miami and would love to keep the commute to the minimum! thanks!
