longest wait after I140 approval...please advice!!!

hi! my husband's i140 was approved may 4,2006...after which we received an email last may 31st that the decision was forwarded...etc..etc.. after that no nothing!!! i emailed our lawyer several times and all she says is that she already called the nvc and all we have to do is wait blahblah.... is this normal? we are approaching 3 months after the approval and we haven't recieved anything yet not even a case number from the nvc....getting anxious here.... please advice!!! thanks in advance!!!:sniff:

Next is the bill, but are you going thru an agency? If so, then anything would be sent to them. And was the e-mail that you received from USCIS, or the agency, or attorney? If from one of them, you need to contact them.

there are a lot of us in the similar situation...so..don't worry. my i-140 was approved on aplril 6th, 2006. i am going through aos. uscis sent a request for evidence(for our medicals) which we replied on may 5 or 6. the last time my case was updated is may 20th. after thatnothing. the stattus reads- "on may 13th 2006, we received ur response to our request for evidence. you will receive a written decision on this case." written decision is still a big mystery. hope to hear from the uscis soon. we even called them, they advised to refer to the processing dates on the website. vermont is a year back in processing i-485. i hope all the allotted visas will not have been used up by the time they look at my documents.
