how long for a test date?

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Hey all!

Curious to know how long it took (once you registered) to get a test date for the NCLEX? I'm hoping to take it as soon as my review class is over, but I'm also planning on ELOPING (!!) the last week in june... I'm just afraid that if I book my elopment that it would be my luck that I'll get a test date that week... but of course if I don't book it, my test will be 2 days after I finish the review :uhoh3:

I my official graduation is May 12, I think we are able to register before that date, but I'm not sure

Any Help??

It took me 4 weeks to get authorization to test, so I wanted to let you know that, and it depends upon when you get all the paperwork in as well.

crud... 4 weeks!? So maybe I'm not going to be able to elope the last week in june.... argh

I received my ATT from Pearson 3 weeks after I sent my application to BON. Processing may vary based on your State and how quickly your school clear you with BON (granted you do not have any outstanding balance etc...) Also, when you get your ATT your will have a window of 3 months to schedule your test date. You are responsible for scheduling your own test.

the way it was described to me, I send in all the paperwork, school ok's that I can test with state, then I get sent paper saying "this is when and where we are testing.. when are you coming" Is that right or am I all sorts of confused?

I sent my state & Pearson apps in about a month before graduation. My school sent our paperwork to the state pretty quick. I had my ATT 2 weeks after graduation & set my test date for 4 weeks later. That can be done on the Pearson web site or you can call. First time testers do have priority.

After the school sends your transcripts to the state & everythings good, the state will send you a paper saying you are eligable to test. In the mean time they also contact Pearson & ok you to test, then Pearson sends you the ATT & you schedule your test date by either calling Pearson or going on their web site. I actually got my ATT before I got my paper from the state.

hmmm... somewhere I was told test date within 30 days... I'll have to go and talk with my school and get clarification before I arrange anything.. :o

If I remember right I had up to 60 days, your best bet would be to call you BON & ask them.
