I put in an application online and the next day got a phone call for an interview. One month later was hired. I also put in another application and 5 months later got a call.

I WENT ON TWO INTERVIEWS AND DID NOT GET HIRED I JUST WENT TO ANOTHER ONE AND HE IS SUPPOSE TO CALL ME TOMMOROW TO SEE WHERE HE CAN PLACE ME . I FEEL THE INTERVIEW QUESTION ARE TERRIBLE . AM I THE ONLY ONE ?

were you looking for a certain unit, and they didn't have any positions opens NurseTee? and what were some of the questions that asked during the interview?

i could have swore it was a nurse shortage, i guess not that bad up in the NOrth East.

I knew that I wanted to work in CCU and when I heard that some jobs were opening at a local hospital, I applied in December. I interviewed and was called back for a second interview. I was hired in January. I graduated on May 17th and started working two days later.

By mid March may of my classmates had secured jobs and the rest gradually got hired. At graduation, 100% of my class was employed.

I'll give you the same advice someone gave me: post your resume on monster.com. You will get a lot of calls and you will probably get sick of them, but at least you will be able to find a job. :) I am still a student, will graduate in Dec., but I am already looking!

thank you all for the encouragement..i keep coming here reading the post!

i put up my resume on monster.com and about 30 minutes letter a recruitment agency contacted me.... but i really dont how they fit into the equation..i am a new grad and i dont know... i will give them a call tomorrow, God-willing..

thanks for all of those who respond..

but i will stalk them until i get hired on somebody's unit!

Don't give up. I had a hard time finding a position too and kind of fell into the perfect job just about when I had given up hope of finding something halfway decent. That's it, become a stalker! In this case, it's ok! Good luck!

I guess I was lucky...I was offered a job before I ever graduated college.

I started work 1 1/2 months after I graduated (it was that long b/c I wanted some time off before I started working):)

I started working 2 weeks ago. I took a few months off after graduation. I applied at both hospitals here in town. I heard back from both but one was calling me back before I got home and I had a job offer that day but for OB float. The nurse manager called me back the next day and told be the job I REALLY wanted had opened up and offered that to me. So I have had great luck and so far I am loving every minute!!
