how long did your nclex-rn in california results before it was online???

anybody ... im not sure if i should still check online because up to now i still dont see my name on the brn website. what is the average day before your name shows up online??? does is show up all the time??? how about the mail ... brn said from 10 to 30 days -- true???

please can somebody just tell me because its been 1 week and 1 day and still no name on the brn website. should i start studying now??? thank you.

obtw.. i even tried to call the brn to find out if there was a delay in my docs.. but no luck there.. everything is in.. so im figuring that i havent gotten my results yet bc theyre tryna analyze my performace report or something!

There is no report that needs to be analyzed. They receive the same pass or no pass result from Pearson-Vue. And if no pass, then they are told the areas that you were weak in.

Nothing more than that.

obtw.. so i got my letter and it said i stopped at 84 q.... guess i was way below the passing or something but it also said that i was near passing on all of the content except for one which was safety and infection or something like that.. it said that my scoring was below passing, which i had a feeling bc i kept getting select all that apply and it dealt with infectious diseases! sh*t i never get those select all that apply right, and thats when it determines a harder or either question!

the candidate performace letter was very general and broad.. it doesnt really help. does anyone know how it is the 2nd time around? will i get the same type of questions?

The questions that you get are based on how you did answering the questions before. The next time that you test, will not have anything to do with you not passing the first time. The computer has no idea about that at all. Only that you are writing the exam on that date.

Chances of getting even similar questions are quite slim. But do remember that the exam will usually focus on your weak points.

hey ivy120 i heard or read somewhere that you never get the same qs beause the computer knows what was given to you already. good luck. keep your head up and tc.

The computer has no idea that you took the exam before. You are starting again with a fresh ATT. And nothing to do with the previous exam at all. The question bank is always changing. In the past, all states required that you wait 90 days to retest, now many have the 45 days so that the questions have made it thru and are updated.

You prepare for the exam the second time like you never took it the first time. You have no idea as to the types of questions that you will get.

i just took mine the 7th and im not up on the website yet. im depressed! my classmate that took the test the same day as me is on there already, and so is my other classmate who took it on the 11th. i was wondering if anyone has passed nclex-rn without having their name posted on the license verification website immediately. and what's the longest amount of time that they have lagged on verifying your license on the website?

check with them if your file is complete. i waited for my name, but it never showed up. 16 days after - i got my big letter - failed. there is still hope for you so keep praying. juts make sure file is complete.

i took mine the day after yours 8/8 and i'm also not on the website yet. so far it usually takes 3-10 days.. just stay positive :monkeydance:

im starting to lose hope! ill called the brn and they said my file is complete.. but i guess there's still a little left for me. i was reading in another post from 2004 in the discussion forum that it took someone 2 weeks before they actually saw their name on the brn website. so im keeping my fingers crossed! hopefully, ill pass!!

hey mclovin, my name didn't show today either but i called BON today and they told my exam is pending its still under review so i have no idea if thats a good or bad thing. But for sure no mail has been sent.

Just keep thinking positive maybe you and i are the ones that finds out by day 10. Hope you pass too..;)

to everyone who has been waiting ... i was in your situation too. it did not feel good. i called brn 3 times. all different info each time. on the 8th of august i called brn ... they told me my result was not in. 2 days later - big letter arrived. my file has been complete all along. i dont know what to think of brn. they never gave my the right info except that my file was complete. when i called on the 8th - they told me no result and no letter sent because there's no result yet then how come i received my letter 2 days after???

im sure you all did fine. i just want to share my experience because this is what i was told by cali brn. there is still hope until that big letter arrives. hope you all did better than me.

Welcome to the site

Because you live in the Philippines you have to wait for it to be mailed to you so you are looking at approx 4 weeks before you will know whether you have passed or not. I would suggest you check out the International forum as this has been asked many times. Your name will not show on the CA website until you are in the US on a valid work permit and have provided the BON with a SSN
