Hey All!!!! I got a question....:coollook:

How is everyone getting their set of orders? Are they getting to you via snail mail? email? ako? and just for average sake.... about how long are they taking for commissioning to you (no hearsays please)?

I am 61 days,or 5,270,400 secs or 87,840 minutes or 1464 hours post commissioning. I know I am hopping on this once again.... but my ako email is messed up (some one there in ako land put a 2 after my name and like there are two of us in the Army..... ahahahahahaha NO!) they got me listed as IRR (I just signed my life over to them how am I IRR) .... the list goes on (as in my MDR is listed as in 2014.... someone there can't do math) .... I don't know what an impact this all has, maybe it has none but as drill weekend rolls around this weekend hmmm....... I am betting at this point I am putting all my earrings back in my ears that I took out for my I.D. and just gonna be trying to forget that I should be, by all means at drill and not being where I will be.:angryfire

thanks in advance!

Hey there Lahhhhhhhhhhhhhh leeeeee!!!! you know us M5--er's are cool!!!!

and yes indeed we do rule!!!!! we're prepared for whatever comes our way!!!! and we're ready for a crazy, chaotic day!!!!

I commissioned December 9th...and still have no orders. And on the website it still states that I'm a SGT. I received my separation papers from the Guard about two weeks ago!

What is this HRC phone number everyone keeps calling?

jennly,

First... congrats on commissioning! Welcome to the "cool club".

It will most likely take some more time before you receive orders. Since you are recently ETS enlisted, it may prolong the process slightly as they have to completely out-process you from your former MOS and then re-in-process you to your new AOC as an officer.

I waited 9 months for orders. I don't think that is the norm but don't start to get livid just yet.

However, if I were you I would call my recruiter every day... and ask for the station commander. Use your COC first. If you get nowhere and if it stretches out much longer... write a letter to your Senators. Calling HRC will most likely yield in more headaches and frustration. I called them a few times and sat on hold for 40 minutes once only to be hung up on when they attempted to transfer my call. I never did get any answers from them ... really. Others on this forum have had greater success in speaking with HRC. I believe you can just call the main number :1-800-318-5298 and ask who cuts officer orders for ANC.

Keep your chin up and be prepared to HUAW (Hurry Up And Wait). Not to be confused with HOOAH!

Hope this helps,

Oh, I understand Hurry up and wait. I've been in for 8 years. But it has never taken this long to get orders!

Yay!!!! I finally got my orders! It took 5 months and a lot of calling/inquiring. They mistyped one number of my SSN! That was the hold up! Make sure all your paper work is correct!
