Long Beach City College (LBCC) ADN Spring 2024

Nursing Students School Programs

Updated:   Published

Hi everyone! I just submitted my application for Spring 2024! Hoping that we can connect through this forum!

Just as an fyi: for the life equivalency form, you can just attach the unsigned copy to the application - you do not have to get it signed by Marc prior to submission. I emailed him and he said that due to the high volume of requests, he will be reviewing them with our application.

oh they already decided on the final students?? I thought they were just picking the final 300

I got an email stating that I was provisionally accepted.

Hi ! I received an email saying I was "provisionally accepted" for Spring!
Does anyone know what that meant exactly?

I got accepted!

I'm glad I didn't take the seat @ LA. The traffic would've killed me. If anyone else got accepted, let's exchange contact info.

For who haven't, don't give up! This was my 2nd cycle of application and good things will follow!

Congratulations!

Congratulations! I believe this means you would have to get through the next phase of the application process which may be the TEAS. They select 300 and from there will narrow it down to the final selections after the TEAS exam.

So I confirmed through email that with provisional acceptance you have a guaranteed spot as long as you pass your TEAS, background check, etc.

This was my first time applying and I got in, so there's always hope!

I got the denial LOL

I asked the same thing and the coordinator said I was in. See you there!

If anyone still here that was accepted or taken in as an alternate that started the program Spring 2024. Is it true that a lot of alternates were taken in for your cohort? If not, do any of you guys know how many were taken?

Thanks

Hey @Alxs24! I hope this reaches you even if its late. Do you happen to know by chance how many alternates were taken into replace those that were originally offered a provisional acceptance? I got selected as an alternate for Fall 2024 and have so many questions on how it works.

Thanks!

Hey everyone! I'm also an alternate for this coming Fall 2024. I've already taken my TEAS last year. Do I just submit my TEAS results to them? What's the process if you're an alternate? Do I wait until someone decline the offer? Thank you in advance! 😊

yes, I'll be applying to about 15 schools in total! I already graduated from csulb with my bachelor's degree, so I'm hoping to get into either CSUN or CSUSM's ABSN program. but I really just hope that I get in somewhere!

one submission per application period

Did you use NursingCas for some of them or are you applying to each individually? Have you applied to any CCs? I'm planning to apply to as many as possible as well but I'm not sure if I should take the info sessions or just read through the applications requirements and submit. Thanks for your time and I wish you all the best!

Replying since I know how it is.

I was provisionally accepted but about 6 (confirmed) people in my cohort was an alternate. So you have a good standing chance. I did notice a lot of the people who were provisionally accepted like I was ended up going somewhere else as well. Just fyi. Good luck to you and maybe I'll see you next semester.

I appreciate the response! You began this Spring or last Fall? I was told by the coordinator that the last semester they took in almost all alternates but the cohort prior they only took in a "handful". It would be amazing if they need most alternates but I got an email from the director saying that they took twice as many alternates for the Fall 2024 cohort. Like why LOL. I'm hoping for the best but there will def be more comp to be selected to replace 😕 I have much anxiety till the June alternate meeting LOL.
