Do we need scrubs for RNSG 1105? What all do I need for the RNSG class ? Just the text book?
Are you quest or basic? I thought they were different?! Lol
And if you're Kingwood we do not were scrubs for the mini next week. We only wear scrubs on clinical days at the hospital. I emailed the director yesterday and she said next week we'll need the Nursing Skills book and a stethoscope.
*This is all assuming that you're classes are the same as mine, of course, because I'm in the Basic Track.

Hey iamleann, what time is your wednesday lab?
Wednesday from 7:00-9:00pm. What about you?
Jesbustos, I sent you a personal message with my phone number. I'm not sure that I can answer all your questions though. From what I'm gathering...just from reading each others message, Quest and Traditional sound very much alike except for the format of the class and time of completion (books seem to be the same, courses the same, uniforms, etc).
We also don't have to wear scrubs for the mini-mester, just comfortable clothes but nothing that is revealing.

I ended up with Wed. 3-5 pm, so I am going to go up to the college tomorrow and find out if there is ANY way that it can be changed to the night lab. My job is already bending over backward to accomodate me, so I would love to not get fired!!!! Hopefully they will work with me, I wonder who I should talk to about the change.....

Cyfair students, I just checked my lonestar and my schedule is up!!! Super excited to finally start planning, but a little disappointed at afternoon classes. Morning classes would have been more convenient for childcare but I'll figure it out. Cannot wait for the semester to start and to absorb all this material.

Kingwood students how did you find out about textbooks? Did I miss a email or something in the mail?
ikegrad2002- I work and Methodist in the med center. When I was telling my unit manager about going to nursing school he said sometimes they have students from Lonestar, but I guess that could be any Lonestar campus.

They gave us a a list of books in the orientation on October 8. For next week, I believe sapadgett emailed to find out which one we needed and I believe it's this one:
Taylor's Clinical Nursing Skills: A Nursing Process Approach: Pamela Lynn: 9780781793841: Amazon.com: Books
JennBU06,
The book kit is at the bookstore and it is approx. $570. There is also an extra book not included in the kit that is around $100 that we will need. The papers given to us at orientation also showed a drug book that looks like it's not included in the kit, but it is.
For next the mini next week I was told that we need the Nursing Skills textbook (linked above) and a stethoscope.
For those who purchased hemostats, did you get curved or straight?
