I just read through the Fall 2011 thread. It was the first group of applicants that had to meet the 75% rule for all sections of the Hesi. Everyone that had over 11pts got in, and several people that had 10.9 to 10.5 pts got on the alternate list. Those people actually made it because they got called. Some of them were called only a month before school started.

There is still hope for ALL of us!!!

I would still like to know why some got emails and some did not...I too am out of Tomball and am hoping that is the reason....I wish the professors would read this and could see how much we all care so let us in and give us our dang emails, letters or whatever the heck...please..hahahah..okay im losing it...just kidding! :)

I think your right mamagrizzly, it probably has something to do with which campus you go to. I do not think the email has anything to do with who got accepted. I am just happy we all will be recieving our letters soon. I am tired and of waiting and stalking the mailbox... lol. I wonder what I will do with my free time after I find out??:clown:

Hey, I just called cyfair and talked to the girl who answered and she told me "they are in the process of sending everyone who applied regardless of whether they got in an email saying that they are sending the letters". At first she sounded confused, so I repeated, some people are getting emails and some are not...so what does that mean..and she said everyone will eventually.....I hope that helps..go to go get the kids! and hopefully the mail...

I know your next question, why didnt they just send a big email to everyone all at once...??? I have no clue...sorry.

Oh I so! This is truly one of the craziest things...sitting thru this completely not even having a clue what is going to happen!!!! Hopefully it will be over for all of us by Friday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The letters were sent out today. You should be receiving a letter soon notifying you of your status. We will not give you your status over the phone or in person. You will have to wait until you receive your letter.

@ pauseymo12, it did have a signature line and i recognized it to be one of the women that work in the nursing department at cyfair. the address was also the cyfair campus address. the email looked very basic, like one that they generated and sent to everyone. i wouldn't read into it very much. i think those who didn't get it either didn't apply to cyfair as their first choice ( every campus does things differently) or it was just an oversight because they were sending the email out to many recipients at the same time.

My theory is they were swamped with calls....so they decided to send an email so we would stop bugging them..just a theory...I still have not received an email and cyfair was my first choice.

I just checked again and I finally got the same email as the above..... The funny thing is the girl was confused when I called and asked her, and I am pretty sure she was thinking how did you know some got emails and some did not...lol...anyway, maybe tomorrow we will know something REAL!..hang in there!! and when I called earlier she "said they were working on sending the note out to everyone, so they did NOT go out all at once..as you all can see some of us are just getting it and have been checking all day... :) so don't worry...I just got mine! the email, not the letter...

yeah i just got that email too =/ at first when i turned in my application, i thought "oh well. what happens happens. im just relieved i took the hesi." and NOW i'm like, "DID I GET IN???? DID I NOT GET IN!?"

and reading all of your posts makes me so anxious >.
