Hi, just wanted to start a post about my process of applying at lonestar. Hope to hear from other applicants! I have just taken my HESI and will be applying for the spring semester with a score of 11.54

Yes, the email says that, but the attachment says that I was selected for conditional admission to the basic track program. It is very confusing. I really don't know what it means. Someone else posted that conditional means that I was accepted and alternate is the waiting list. I would like to know how the letter for the alternate students says.

Both of those particular phrases mean that you were selected into the program as long as you meet, and continue to meet, all of the requirements. Meaning you get all of your paperwork done, shots or titers, and your background check is cleared. Had you been selected as an alternate, the letter would have said "alternate" on it. Ya'll are getting antsy and freaking out a little, understandably! Calm down and stop second guessing yourselves, you're in! It's not happening fast enough so you're psycho-analyzing your letters. Stop! It's all falling into place and it's going to be all right! You got this!

with each day that passes, I freak out just a little bit more. I usually talk myself down but for some reason today is really difficult. My score is 0.02 less than someone I know that got in. Please pray (if you are that sort of person) that I can find the patience to get through this. I know the answer will come sooner or later, but it is driving me crazy.

I'll be glad to keep you in my prayers! I know it's nerve racking, especially being that close. Don't lose hope though! I'll keep you company here, along with so many others who offer great support!

I would not worry because we all know things are running behind schedule so there is still hope. I know it.

I do not know many ppl in the nursing program but two. One of those ppl I know have not been turning in their stuff by deadline. So what are the chances of more students doing the same thing? Answer is there is going to be more I tell you what and alternates are going to be being called to take the position.

True, and there will be others who just can't do it this time around or accept another program or even change their mind. No worrying, it's bad for the complexion, fingernails, and sometimes other peoples hearing!:nurse:
