Hi, just wanted to start a post about my process of applying at lonestar. Hope to hear from other applicants! I have just taken my HESI and will be applying for the spring semester with a score of 11.54
I have a question for anyone who just started the program or has been accepted to start. Did anyone here get accepted with a B in A&P, an A in Eng, and a B in Psych? I am currently retaking Psych but curious if I really even need to. I'm taking the HESI the first week of February and have all my prereq's done. I want to apply next month if possible at North Harris. Thanks for any info!
KenKen, I had an A in A&P, and Psych, but a B in Eng. I thought it was gonna be my downfall. I made a good score on my English section on the HESI, but the A in Eng. 1301 would have given me .33 higher in my points. You want as many points as possible to be accepted. Being an alternate is not fun. I was an alternate and stressed every day until I was accepted. SO, depending on your HESI score, and how many points you have, it is all up to you. I would go with as many points as possible. I had 11.36 and was an alternate. (Cy-Fair and Kingwood) I was later accepted into Kingwood, but passed in hopes to get into Cy-Fair. Thank God they called me, or I would still be kicking myself in the hiney.
GOOD LUCK in your process. If you have any questions, we are all here.
Momma D,
Thanks for responding! I am currently retaking an 8 week Psych class to get my A. I am pretty good in the English department and I am studying the HESI review guide. I really want to get in this next application period. I was accepted into HCC last semester but had to give my spot up for family reasons so it really burns that I had to do that. I am planning on applying at North/Harris/Montgomery/Tomball but will go anywhere! Lol! I wish you all the best of luck!

Hey ya'll I'm a single mom with no family and I was wondering if you know where I could look for child care on clinical days? His school is only open 7-4. Any suggestions??
When I use to work 12 hour shifts, I needed a place only once n a while. I found a 24 hour daycare of off Aldine Westfield and you can a "drop off" where they don't have to know ahead of time that you are coming. It's like 40 bucks for that day you use and for the next

I asked for clarification last night and was left thinking I was studying the right info until this morning. More was added to my plate but Thank GOD, I got it all done.
