Hi, just wanted to start a post about my process of applying at lonestar. Hope to hear from other applicants! I have just taken my HESI and will be applying for the spring semester with a score of 11.54

Thanks Mal..... I had found it. The ones I got were 30% off so they gave me only a 10% discount. But, happy I have my scrubs and patch in it.

What color scrubs do you guys wear to Kingwood? Lab and/or clinicals?

We wear navy to clinicals but still not sure about lab...I think we can wear whatever color to Lab? if someone knows please let me know

Jenn, yes she said we can wear whatever color we want to lab. And Mal yes, I got 40% off. I got the Cherokee brand though. They fit a lot better and are longer than the urbane. I did not get the jacket since Mrs. K. Said we don't have to get it, we can just wear white like long sleeve shirt underneath. I went the cheap route.

And I paid 3 dollars to get the patch sewn on which took like less than 5 minutes.

Im glad to hear that. I got the Cherokee brand as well. We wear those at work and they hold up really well.

What shoes did yo guys decide on? I tried on the Dansko and they are very firm. They also had Kloggs which were a little softer. I want good shoes because I know when my husband worked for Kingwood hospital in the ER he would come home complaining his feet hurt from standing all day. My Aunt who is a RN in a hospital in corpus said she goes to academy and buys Asics and Saucony, but hers are mesh not leather. Do they have to be leather? What do you guys think?

I got the Dansko XP. They have a much softer insole and seem to be worth the money. I hope so anyway.
