Lonestar LVN Fall 2010

Published

Hi all,

Just wondering how many if any, have applied for the LVN program with any Lonestar CC's fall 2010? Good luck to everyone!

Thanks for the info. Have you checked half.com, their prices are reasonable as well. Thus far, I am totaling $353.71 with exception of nurse pk. I will keep comparison shopping until I find the lowest cost. The bookstore is out of the question (are you serious?), totally overpriced. I am ordering my uniforms and stethoscope today!

Family Night is on the 25th, correct? Or has the date changed?

Hi is that the price for all the 1st quarter books or is it just for Aug-Oct.

Hey LPN Students, are any of you on here going to TN Tech., Harriman, TN? If so, I have been accepted into the nursing program :) and am so excited. I have already started studying the info they gave us in orientation. I went and got my scrubs at Lamberts. I did not know until I got there that we have to get the Cherokee brand! Yeah, if you didn't take back, I called the instructor myself, she said yes we do! Remember...no flare legs or draw strings!!! I also am going back there to find out what shoes she expects us to wear, I know what the paper says, its misleading, does not explain enough! If you are going to same school, email me, we need to keep in touch and study when time comes! I need a mentor, looking, but have not found and a study group! Oh well, alot to do......smiles!

I ask about the nursing pk at the book store and they said that is pay with the tuition ..... And about the books the 350 is that for all the books or just the first semester

The price for books is just for this semester. Thie great part is that some of the books we will use for the duration of the program. Oso the cost will come Down the further we go along in the program.

Also remember that tax free weekend is in a couple of weeks (Aug 20-23) and you can get your uniforms and shoes tax free.

Yeah that is what I though .... Well thanks for letting me know about the tax free weekend that is great. About the scrubs I check couple of them out and I do remember she said grey but is it light grey ????

yes the gray is light gray. If any of you live in the Katy area, The Finish Line in Katy Mills mall had a nice selection of all white shoes for men and women.

ok thanks... im def getting almost everything online its seems to be cheaper. Anyways does anyone if its true if the nursing pk is included on the tuition????

I check for the books at half.com and so far i have added to mywish list 8 books is that correct?

I think this is just for the fall. I know that I got the awards and don't have much out of pocket. Do you? Are you also in the LPN program there? If so, great! Do you live in Harriman? I live in Greenback.

Hey roseannking , I think everybody, well almost everybody is going to be going to the lonestar Lvn program in Texas. So I don't know if the books and stuff are the same....

Hello Everyone, I got my books in 2 days from Amazon.com using the free Student 2 day shipping and they all are new. They cost about the same price as a used book from the book store without the tax, so it's a great deal.I bought some comfortable nursing shoes from the scrub store. I went ahead and bought my scrubs just wanted to get everything done. The patches are only sold at the bookstore now. There are no packages at the scrub stores anymore but they give a student discount.
