I did a DO because I had a previously suspended license. I didn't want to take a chance at the board denying me to sit for my NCLEX later on. Has anyone from cyfair gone to do their fingerprinting?

I think you do not need to do the DO unless you have some previous felony or court order of some kind. Us who are lucky enough to have a clear records, we just have to wait until we receive the blue card on the mail and then load in the info from it into the certified profile site. That is what I understood.

I found this on the TXBON website and I'm just curious if you had any problems when you petitioned for your DO? I've had my driver's license suspended and I've been wondering if i should wait or just do it bc I don't want to end up losing my seat:

My student already knows that something is going to show up on his/her background check. Can he/she mail the documentation before the BON has the CBC results?The students may write the letter of explanation and start accumulating the necessary documentation. However, he/she should wait until receiving a letter from the BON to ensure that all incidents are addressed. Not following this order could delay the processing.

Hi all,

How about the flu shot? are we supposed to get it before July 06 as well? When I click on it at the certified profile site it says "Flu shot must be received after august 01, 2015." Can anyone tell me what is needed to be done here? I have never had a flu shot before.

those that were accepted to the tomball transition did yall get any info about the fingerprinting yet?

I had not issues with the BON. I sent in my DO documentation in March, and then went to get fingerprinted about 10 days later. They sent me the clearance letter to say that I'm fine to sit for my boards when we are done with nursing school.

I'm starting to think I should have done a DO... might have taken less time. I've called twice and they said they sent it both times but I still don't have it. I'm tempted to ask if I can come pick it up

Oh ok, thanks! Do you think it's too late to send the DO now that I've already been fingerprinted or should I just wait to see what they send me?

Now that you have been fingerprinted it's probably better for you to wait and see what they say.
