Lonestar 2015 fall hopefuls

Hi everyone! Has anyone applied for the fall yet? I'm studying for my HESI and will be applying soon!

I picked montgomery because it's like 10 min from my house.

I wonder why they made the changes with the scores?

I was told by one of the nurse instructors that the state cracked down on them... An associate degree is suppose to be two years but it was taking people close to two years to complete all the classes to get a 4

In the other scoring box... So they had to do away with it completely and drop some of the classes off the degree program like statistics and speech.

I chose Montgomery for the reputation, location and because I like the hospitals in the area.

I do think it's funny a lot of us wanted Montgomery. I'm so used to seeing everyone want to go to Cy-Fair! It's also an excellent program, and I like the blocked system. The only reasons I dreaded going there are location, and because I heard one must be on campus more--I was scared it would interefere with my job. The only way I can even pay for this is if I am working. :/

I chose it based on their NCLEX passing score. I'm actually closer to Tomball, but not by much.

So for those that applied to the transition program, did you apply with the 12 point system like I did or with the new 8 point system?
