Lonestar 2015 fall hopefuls

Published

Hi everyone! Has anyone applied for the fall yet? I'm studying for my HESI and will be applying soon!

I thought it said on the website that they send out notice even if you are not accepted. Maybe you just get the email if you are in but a letter gets sent to everyone in the mail?

I wonder what the cutoff was this year... Of the people that got notifications was anyone an alternate? Did anyone get in with a 6. Something?

Hi everyone I applied for the ADN basic track program with NH as first choice and Cyfair as second. My score was 7.107. I went to the information session today and Ms Garcia said that with the new point system it's taking a little longer bc they're having problem with GPA's for students with transfer transcripts. She said she's pushing to have notices sent out by next week! Good luck to everyone and congrats to the ones accepted!! :)

My score was a 6.88 but I haven't gotten anything yet :arghh:

I also called montgomery today to ask their cut off and she said she can't give me that info

I'm getting really anxious/nervous just by reading this :facepalm:

Thanks for the info Kannette! Makes me feel a little better...looks like us NH students may be waiting a few days!

ok so in regards to the transition program do yall think that you would have to be at least an alternate for them to have checked our background.

just remember NH accepts 120 or so students so I am sure that is a bigger ordeal to handle than the other campus'. I am awaiting nervously as well but I think we should stay positive for the time being.

I was accepted to montgomery with a 7.544

Got accepted with 7.79 something

@helgnlockwood I don't think being rejected from one means you're rejected from all of them. Each campus will have a different set of applicants and therefore a different set of accepted scores. Remember that the first part of the admissions process is to list everyone by score (and also by first choice campus) and to send acceptance notifications to the first n applicants, with n being the number of people they accept each year. Although we applied to more than one campus, acceptance is individual to each campus. I hope that makes sense.

To everyone else: keep the above in mind, and also keep in mind that seats will open up--people will fail the background check, or forget/be unable to attend the orientation, or will not be able to pay on time, etc. Lone Star ends up taking a LOT of alternates, so keep your heads up! Keep checking your e-mail! We can all do this! :)
