Hi everyone! Has anyone applied for the fall yet? I'm studying for my HESI and will be applying soon!
DO stands for Declaratory Order. You must submit one if you have any past criminal history (you dont have to include Class C misdemeanor traffic violations) but anything else you must send into the board of nursing. Here is the site with more info: Texas Board of Nursing - Declaratory Order.
Hey guys!!!
My name is Crystal and I applied to the Montgomery RN program!! I've been following your post for awhile so I know when students are starting to receive acceptance letters.. The reason I went through the hassle of retrieving my login info is because I seen some asking about the D.O. I actually got accepted into the Kingwood Program and was supposed to be starting last January. I did everything i was supposed to do, went for my fingerprinting and one month before the final deadline.. I got a letter saying I needed to get a DO(get cleared through the Texas Board of Nursing) because I got arrested in 2007 for driving while license suspended. I always heard everyone saying "If you need a DO to start early" because it takes FOREVERRRR. So I asked if I needed one and was told, "No, not if its a traffic violation." So, I'm just writing this to let you know that if you have EVER been arrested for ANYTHING.. Start your DO now! Needless to say, I was cleared and now have everything in order!! lol Thank God :) Wishing everyone the best of luck... Hope this helped someone!
