Lonestar 2015 fall hopefuls

Published

Hi everyone! Has anyone applied for the fall yet? I'm studying for my HESI and will be applying soon!

Specializes in ICU.

I'm gonna apply for another adn program just in case. Deadline for that is May 1..I'm waiting to hear something from Alvin too..hopefully I get accepted SOMEWHERE. Lol

I just got a text from a friend who also applied to the program, and she said she went this afternoon to speak to the nursing advisor, and they have not sent out emails yet, advisor also said its taking longer than usual. :(

I guess we'll have to suck it up and wait longer..

I am really hoping at least by next week we hear something... crossing fingers!!

On past threads I read that advisors were saying the same however other schools were also sending out acceptance....

Hi everyone! My name is Rosa and I'm wondering.... Has anyone received their acceptance letter for North Harris yet?

Sorry just read the last threads ☺️

No letters yet

I'm not sure why they haven't sent a thing for adn but had no problem for the lvn program... Isn't it the same system?

LVN usually go out before ADN. I would assume there would be less applicants for LVN. It usually takes about 2.5-3 weeks for them to send out notifications so they are not behind schedule as of yet. I am betting we hear tomorrow or Monday.

I was worried before I read this thread but now I'm scared. When I turned in my app for Montgomery and NH, it was the 12 point system but my app for KW was the 8 point. I'm starting to think I did something wrong.

This is what it says on the website :

Basic Track and Transition Track Nursing programs at LSC-CyFair, LSC-Montgomery, LSC-North Harris and LSC-Tomball will be accepting applications Tuesday January 20, 2015 through Wednesday March 25, 2015. (Apply)

Vocational Track and Transition Track Nursing programs at LSC-Kingwood will be accepting applications Monday March 2, 2015 through Friday May 22, 2015. (Apply)

I do not see anything for tradition ADN track at Kingwood so thats probably why it was an 8 point system...

I applied to Montgomery and it was the 12pt system as well. I printed mine from their website and someone looked it over when I dropped it off and didn't mention any problems, so I'm betting you'll be fine.
