Lonestar 2014 Fall Hopefuls!

Ok I know it's very early starting this but I am so excited I couldn't help it! Application period doesn't even start until January! My journey has been a long one and I am seeing the light at the end of the tunnel so I am sharing a little of that experience here and I would love to hear from others as well.

I just received my clearance letter from the BON so I am clear to apply in January for North Harris and Montgomery ADN programs, unfortunately I missed Kingwood. At this point I have an 11.1 and I'm about to retake the HESI so we shall see what is in store for me. I'm done with all my pre-reqs for my BSN and I'm so ready to start the next phase of my education and get on with more taking care of people! It's been 25 years since I decided I wanted to be a nurse. Twenty years of raising my kids, taking care of soldiers' families and single soldiers and eight years of riding in an ambulance later, I'm ready to follow my dream! Watch me go!

Hey y'all! I know it's a terrible waiting game! I don't think anyone will find out soon because all campuses have to coordinate with each other. So if there is a delay at Montgomery there is a delay everywhere. I think previous years Montgomery sent our traditional mail which is why it took longer for those students to find out. Also, they TELL you 3-4 weeks but I don't think it usually takes that long. Last semester and Amberly you can probably back me up on this. We were accepted as alternates maybe 2 1/2 weeks after the app period closed. Hang in there all! I know it's stressful!!

Oh that is different... So what if you get accepted to your 2nd choice but were eligible to be an alternate for your 1st choice? Congrats by the way!! I'm sure you will get a call!!!

From what I understood I'm an alternate for the whole lonestar system and I'll get the call from whichever campus has an opening so it's not necessarily the ones I applied to specifically just the one that has a spot if that makes any sense lol

Hmmm I guess that means if we didn't get an e-mail that we are either in somewhere or not at all!

My sister and I both got the Alternate e-mail just a few minutes ago. I had a 10.78, she had a 10.98 and we both only applied for Montgomery. So Im pretty upset, I thought with our scores we would get accepted! I just don't understand how we got alternate letters, when the lady just told me this morning that they are still waiting on the list to come back from the main office....

Sounds like they must have gotten them back. What was your 2nd choice? You may still have a chance so don't count your chicks before they hatch.

So I just checked my email and have one from LSCS!!!!......only it was to remind me that the last day to drop classes is Thursday. Gggrrrr.....
