Hey I was wondering if anyone else has started a post on Fall 2017 Lone Star ADN Hopefuls... & If not then let's get this one going!

Yes, I retook it during summer, but I didn't have to do anything.

Hi! I applied last minute yesterday. I was going to wait till the spring, but figured why not try!? I applied to Cyfair with a score of 6.96, but I have not received a conformation email. Did anyone else apply yesterday and get it?

Wow.. we applied With the same score. Well my full score was a 6.9646 what was yours? I got a confirmation the same day I dropped it off. What time did you turn it in?

I think it was either a 6.96 or 6.95. I don't remember the full score. I turned it in around 3 yesterday and the deadline was 4 so maybe she's just going through all of them. If I don't get an email tomorrow I'll call or email to make sure. Good luck!!!

I got my application turned in just before the deadline after turning it in two times prior. They always found something to nitpick. lol

Finally, it's in and my score is a 7.792/8. I chose Montgomery as my first, hopefully I'll get in.

I was actually in the program last fall, but I was going through a lot, including almost being homeless for the second time. Also, I had hand-me-down books which made everything a lot more difficult. I recommend getting the books they tell you to get.Also, and I say this with great emphasis, turn in every lab module on time! There are 3 sections to the Montgomery program: Lecture, Lab and Clinical. For clinical you get a satisfactory or unsatisfactory based on whether you met your goal for that clinical day. For lecture, you have tons of work and tests that you'll get your grades from. For lab, though, only study modules really get turned in. This means that there aren't many graded items for lab so if you miss any, it really hurts your grade. If you fail in any of the 3 sections, you are dropped from the program. Just because a lab module is not the same as a test in terms of grades, does not mean it's less important than studying. lol

We're applying with the exact same score (7.792)! My first choice is Cy-Fair though. I'm sure you'll get in, and I'm sorry you went through so much last fall. But I bet the strength you gained from that is going to make you an even better nurse!

Wow, what are the odds of that?! I appreciate your kind words, and at least now I know some things I can do differently in order to get a better outcome. It sure as heck isn't going to be easy, but nothing worth achieving ever is.

Hi guys!

I've been reading the thread and just thought I would comment as well. My overall score is 7.3 (I can't remember all the decimals). I did great on the HESI and made an A in A&P 1. But my English grade really brought my score down. I took the class when I was 18! I only made a B. My first choice is North Harris and second CyFair. I am really nervous!!!!! I keep checking my email knowing there won't be an answer yet, but I still check it! Lol. I know my score probably won't be enough for admission this semester. If it isn't, then I'll probably retake English 1 or just apply to UTHSC. Wish all of you guys good luck!!!!!!!!!!
